SWAN Academy

SWAN Academy is what SWAN, the South Indian Film Writers' Association, is building for everyone who writes for the screen. It opens on 27 September 2026 with a full day of keynotes, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops at Anna Centenary Library, Kotturpuram, Chennai.

Organisers

The launch is jointly presented by SWAN, the South Indian Film Writers' Association, and IP Climb, a partner organisation focused on protecting and building writers' intellectual property — the subject of one of the day's own masterclass sessions.

What's on

The opening day runs 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM and includes keynotes, a fireside chat, an IP masterclass, a panel of South Indian writers, and a micro-drama workshop. See the full programme and speakers on the homepage.
